The California Jug band Association (www.jugfest.org)  was formed to promote, encourage, foster, and cultivate the preservation, appreciation, understanding, enjoyment, support, and performance of jug band music as an original American musical art form; other genres of music similar in style and execution including, but not limited to, jook, hokum, spasm, skiffle, washboard, and medicine show music are also within the interest scope of the CJBA.

Our goal is to provide access to resources for performances, lectures, demonstrations, and/or educational presentations to any institutions supporting the goals of the association and for the purpose of expanding public awareness of jug band music.
